After Sıla Primary school was reconstructed on 24 November 2007 that is 70 km away from Mardin, old school building consisting of one room was converted to Gül Oğuz Culture House that is near the new building in the school garden and ROOM 13 has been constructed by great supports of TBWA\ISTANBUL, they are serving now more than 400 students who come from nearby villages.
Room 13 are classes for poor children in primary school ages developed to improve their art, research, technology, reading and writing skills. First Room 13 class has been established in Scotland in 1994 at Coal Primary School. This Institution has been continuing its activities all over the world by the support of volunteers since then.
In the scope of the project, students are thought photography lessons, t-shirt painting, poi turning, drawing activities.
