Society Volunteers Trust – Toplum Gonulluleri Vakfi (TOG) is a transformation project that aims to convert youth energy to social benefit. Society Volunteers Trust has gained legal identity on 29 December 2002 for youngsters of 17-25 ages and aimed to increase their consciousness that they are among the parts of social problems and try to solve these problems by its social responsibility projects for them not to be a part of these problems.
When TOG determines its principles, it draws attention not to make propaganda or defend any ideas as religion, politics, ethnicity etc. and to respect differences and move in harmony with them.
TOG acts in volunteers basis and defines its goals as activating various social service projects by leadership of youngsters and guidance of adults, getting physical and moral supports, attendance and guidance of adult volunteers for a social target and believing in synergy of youth, producing solutions to problems around, making contributions to formation of self-assured, entrepreneur and sensitive youth and create difference on the way to social responsibility in community. By using the slogan of “For changing, not criticizing”, it is continuing its activities to convert youth energy to social benefit.
In the frame of these aims, it shows among targets the returned scholarship aids that merit them, apprenticeship opportunities for developing business skills, micro-credit programs to orient to entrepreneurships and project finance applications in the basis of productivity and responsibility.
